About James

Hi I’m James Stewart,

- I am the founder of www.ArtKlick.co.nz – The best website to buy and sell original New Zealand artwork and prints on! You can view my profile and artwork at www.artklick.co.nz/jamesstewart

I have just launched The Free Art Project to raise funds to promote Art Klick and do some fun events.

- I also sell advertising on coffee cups – If interested email me about it – Prices start at $6,000 for 25,000 cups distributed in any main centre of New Zealand.

- I can do WordPress installs / make you a website and blog for you company or yourself. I can set you up a website and give you a 1 hour one on one instruction how to use it – how to add pages, links, posts etc for $200 upwards. Examples include this one, the Word of Mouth Media site and the Art Klick Blog. This is a great alternative to paying $1000′s for someone to build you a website and then pay hundreds to update and change it, plus hosting etc etc!

- I also have lots more ideas for sweet websites but will focus on getting Art Klick and Million Dollar Leg Project at the moment.

Below is a bit of a blurb about where I came from and what I have done up to now.

I grew up in North Canterbury, went to Hawarden Area School until 6th form/Year 12 when I went to Ashburton College, I then moved back to Hurunui and worked at Pyramid Valley Vineyards for a year. In 2002 I moved to Christchurch to study geology and geograhy at Canterbury University and completed a BSc in geography in 2005. Then I was off to Australia (like so many others) but didn’t like it some came home. I worked at Quest for winter 2006 then started a career based job as a site investigation assistant at McMillans Drilling in August.
In the beginning of 2007 my friend Simon Matthews and I had the idea to make a (non exclusive and free) website for New Zealand artists to profile on and sell their artwork called www.ArtKlick.co.nz. After two attempts in 2007 I learnt a lot about web design but still wasn’t happy with the new design (which I mainly was responsible for) so decided to go for the third time lucky design with csolutions new designer- and it paid off! During the redesign and testing I learnt a lot about social media and Search Engine Optimisation from my friend and business partner Aidan Rogers from Inkode Marketing.

Finally a site that is clean, intuitive and dedicated to selling our members artwork! But what now? I have blown all my money (and my business partner/friend David Hyndman’s) on the two redesigns. We have a cool site but no money to market it. So begins the personal emailing campaign. The emailing is reasonably successful with some great feedback from awesome artists and photographers.
